What are web gizmos?
To try and clarify what is meant by gizmos we've included a few on this page, which may clarify the point we are trying to make.
They might look pretty and are perhaps functional, but what do they add to the page and are they really necessary and will a user wait for the page to load? Only the designer can answer those questions.

Please note that most of the pages within this site will load in under 4 seconds. However this page will take around 8 seconds to load. These figures based on a 56K modem connection.
There are now many others that can be added to your page. you-tube, flickR and the rest, again think about why you are using them and whether your visitors will find them as interesting as you do.
